
He grumbles, rolling his eyes, “I don’t even know a thing about the Acerbus, nor how to tell them from proper people, so hell if I know how you can prove it!”
Her eyes flit down, stuffing her hands down into the long, plain black pants that she wears, trying hard to think of a solution to the fact that neither of them are able to trust the other anymore, even though she used to have no reason to doubt him, or vice versa. “I don’t either…” She frowns, looking back up at him and then down again, her hair falling in messy spirals around her eyes. “I don’t know how to prove that I am who I say I am.”
Joey shrugged his shoulders, looking down, “Nor do I know enough about you to tell the difference. See this is why we shouldn’t be taken from our homes and brought here. Such… Bullshit.”
